I have to tell you that poetry, in its truest form is much harder than stories, which I prefer. However, it is good for an artist who prefers the pen to attempt poems that have very specific requirments.
This is a haiku, which is a traditional poem in ancient china or japan, I forget. It is characterized by having the 5/7/5 syllables and still show the emotions of the person writing.
I really like this. I love how haikus are short and their lack of "fluff" sometimes makes them more meaningful than if the concept was explained in a an open poem with lots of defining words. Good job!

Sometimes the shorter the poem the more difficult they are to write. Personally I tend to overexplain so writing specific poems with very ridgid requirements helps me to be conscise. Thanks for watching!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
